Every fence tells two stories.
One story is about boundaries. The other is about what lies beyond them.
As I stood looking across this Wyoming valley, it wasn't the mountains that first caught my attention. It was the simple fence stretching across the foreground. Weathered by years of wind, snow, rain, and sun, it quietly framed the landscape behind it.
Beyond that fence lay everything that makes Wyoming special. Rolling meadows, distant peaks, endless skies, and enough room to breathe. The kind of place where the pace of life is still measured by seasons instead of schedules.
What I love most about this image is the contrast. Human hands built the fence. Nature built everything beyond it. Together they tell a story of coexistence between man and land that has defined the American West for generations.
The mountains will stand for centuries. The fence will eventually disappear. Yet for this moment, both belonged to the same scene.
Sometimes the simplest elements become the strongest storytellers.
